Bew discovered gliding not long ago during a vacation in the Rhoen. Unfortunately,
Germany interprets the ICAO medical requirements in the strictest possible sense.

His eyesight would allow him to legally drive a 1.5t 1000hp Bugatti Veyron at
top speed (~400 km/h) over the Autobahn in the night. In a 0,5t plane
at 200 km/h he would be a threat to public safety..

If he isn't trying to substitute real flying lessons with googling for
flight manuals and practicing in Silent Wings, he develops software
and does consulting at a telecommunications company.

Rumour says, that the ICAO medical requirements will be lowered to more
reasonable levels. There's still hope..
